Barriers

Albert Friguletto and his wife shared about the night of the storm and showed me pictures of the damage to their home and community.

Albert and his wife live in Tom's River. Though their neighborhood is mostly second homes, they live there year-round. Eighty days after the storm they are living off of donated bottled water because their well was contaminated from Sandy. Every homeowner must have their own well cleaned. If they do not, dirty wells will continue to feed into the ones cleaned and contaminate them again. The Friguletto's well might be unusable for months, possibly until the Summer vacation season starts and second homeowners return to the shore. Until then they have no drinking water and fear showering with water from the well.
